Any hints on how to save hostas burned by COLD!

As we all know--the latest round of freezing temps this spring has harmed tender new growth. I was wondering if any of you out there have ever had hostas--mine were almost completely out and had beautiful leaves--ever experienced freezing temps and had leaves look like they had melted. Will the melted leaves shrivel and then new growth start all over?? Thanks
